  1. Students at Athens Tech have usually not been told how to study, or may have been out of an academic environment for a long time. Therefore, I believe this proposal is very worthwhile. The Biotechnology Program will be initiating a study skills course in the fall of 2012 for the same reason (BTEC 1100 – Communication for Lab Sciences).

  2. I agree with Mr. Rapp that a college success class would be very worthwhile for all freshmen. If a student has been out of an academic environment for several years, this class would also be very beneficial.

  3. I do not agree about the college success class. There is already a coll skills class. There is no need to add another worthless class and force students to take it. Not only is is costly to the student, but it waste precious time.

  4. I agree that it's a good idea, but would it be covered by financial aid since it's not directly related to a program of study? If not it wouldn't be worth it to make students take it and pay out of pocket for it, when there are enough expenses we have to worry about.
